Maine’s Bold Coast
Recently, John and Cindy traveled Maine’s Bold Coast on a photo expedition in preparation for a presentation during this year’s BikeMaine in September. They started at Schoodic Point in Acadia National Park (shown above, image by Cynthia Orcutt) and traveled to Millbridge, Rays Point, Jonesport, Beals Island, Machias, Roque Point, Machiasport, Lubec, Cobscook Bay State Park and Eastport.
Evening sunlight glows on breaking waves on the rocky coast of Schoodic Peninsula in Acadia National Park in Down East Maine, Schoodic Point at the southern tip of the peninsula, has granite outcroppings, pounding surf, spruce, and unusual groupings of jack pine.
